SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

Whoever does not have the stomach for this fight, Let him depart.

Give him money to speed his departure since we wish not to die in this mans company.

Whoever lives past today and comes home safely will rouse himself every year on this day, show his neighbor his scars, and tell embellished stories of all the great feats of battle.

These stories he will teach his son and from this day until the end of the world we shall be remembered.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; for whoever has shed his blood with me shall be my brother.

And these men afraid to go will think themselves lesser man as they hear how we fought and died together.

The Oregon Law Enforcement Emerald Society was formed in 2002 to preserve in it's members the heritage of their Gaelic culture. We recognize and promote the accomplishments and contributions of our ancestors and fellow Gaelic Americans. OLEES provides a family oriented social and cultural atmosphere within the law enforcement community by encouraging active participation in community activities.

We believe in family and strength in unity. Together we can acheive many things we would never dream of as individuals. We view each other as family and are always prepared to lend aid to any member in need. As a fraternal organization we have support from other Emerald Societies from all over the United States.

The Oregon Law Enforcement Emerald Society acknowledges anyone of descent from the countries of Ireland, Scotland and Wales as being of Gaelic descent. We are proud of our heritage and we want to share with the world our acheivements. We are equally proud of our profession. We view ourselves as courageous men and women who perform an admirable function that benefits our society. It is our goal to show our pride and strength through our continued dedication and service by giving aid to those in need.
